My oldest hobbies are dogs (as a child Collie Tramp) and photography. At primary school, I started with an Agfa Isola (photo Dirk Böhling), a simple camera for roll film sizes 6x6, which at that time was about 40 DM.
A dance weekend led us in may 2015 to the small town Monschau near Aachen . We took our dog Dexter with us, so besides the dance-lessons we had to take some walks and got a lot of impressions.
For thursday, the 9-Jul-2015, we had ordered tickets to the musical "The King of the Lions" at Stage theater Hamburg. So we had booked a room in the InterCityHotel Hamburg Dammtor-Messe. This rather new hotel turned out to be a good choice, because the room was arranged uo to date. Besides that basement parking was possible and included in the price for the room was free Wlan and free public transport. With Subway or suburban railway you reached the piers of St. Pauli very soon.
Before the musical we visited the piers and went out for a meal in a very nice seafood restaurant. To the musical itself we were transported by boat and we enjoyed the performance. Especially we appreciated the costumes and the decores, but also the music and the brillat performance of the actors. Back to the hotel we relaxed in the hotel bar before we went to sleep.
After the fry-up breakfast we checked out and joined a harbour tour by boat. Unfortunately the Docklands of Hamburg could not be visited by boat because the water level raised to high. Anyway the harbour tour with Barkassen-Meyer was very informative.
A dance weekend led us in October 2014 to enchanting castle Wolfsbrunnen (municipality Meinhard ) in northeastern of Hesse . But overwhelming were more than 1,000 half-timbered houses in the neighboring town of Eschwege on the Werra .
